The Dorchester Hotel is in Park Lane, London, it was opened in 1931 and has some amazing views over Hyde Park and it's very near to Bond Street which has all the shopping designer brands, The Dorchester is well known for several things such as it was the favourite hotel of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton whenever they stayed in London, it is also known for it's afternoon tea which if you are a tourist you simply must have this because it is quintessentially British, it is at the promenade bar and as well as tea you will have finger sandwiches, scones and cakes all washed down with glasses of sparkling wine or champagne.

The Head Chef at the Dorchester is the renowned French chef, Alain Ducasse who holds three Michelin stars at the Dorchester and his ‘Sauté gourmand’ of lobster and truffled chicken quenelles is simply delicious.

The Dorchester is now owned by the Sultan of Brunei and is part of his 'Dorchester Collection' The London Plane tree in front of the hotel was named one of the Great Trees of London by The London Tree Forum in 1997 and the BBC even did a programme about it, the Dorchester can provide you with everything you could possibly need from an elegant spa and beauty salon to a fully equiped gym, the staff are trained to get used to guests special needs and even remember you when you visit again.

The suites at the hotel are amongst the best in the world as an example the beautiful and elegant Terrace suite designed by Alexandra Champalimaud is has a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and dressing room, a dining room, a living room, a private bar and an outside terrace.
